Congress' Nationwide Protests Against Price Rise

Several Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, were detained amid a massive protest against rising prices, unemployment and GST hike on essential items. In Tamil Nadu the state Congress took to the streets in Chennai against price rise, particularly against the recent levy of GST on branded food items. Around two hundred congress workers were detained by the Chennai police as they attempted to march to the Raj Bhavan. Massive protests by the grand old party were also seen in Bhopal and Guwahati.
