The Congress today distanced itself from party leader Sanjay Nirupam, who has declared that unless the government offers proof of last week's surgical strikes, they appear to be "fake." "We have taken serious note of Sanjay Nirupam's statements," said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala. The party, however, asserted that the government should "call Pakistan's bluff and expose them".
