10 Years Later, New Details Of India's Surgical Strikes Revealed

Ten years after Indian Special Forces crossed the Line of Control in the 2016 surgical strikes following the Uri terror attack, NDTV revisits the covert operation and the soldiers who carried it out. In a special Ctrl-Alt-Defence podcast conversation, NDTV's Vishnu Som speaks to Lieutenant General Satish Dua (Retd.), the Srinagar Corps Commander at the time and one of the key planners of the mission, who reveals new details about how the operation was conceived, planned and executed. The special also pays tribute to the Para Special Forces commandos whose identities remain protected, and to their families who carry the burden of that secrecy.
