Auto drivers in Delhi NCR say the recent hike in CNG prices has placed a heavy financial burden on them, with fuel costs rising by ₹3 in just two days. Speaking to NDTV, one driver said increasing expenses such as vehicle rent, house rent, and children’s education costs are making it difficult to sustain daily life. Drivers also said they are unable to increase fares because customers are unwilling to pay more, even as CNG rates continue to rise. The latest hike has intensified concerns among transport workers across Delhi-NCR, who say repeated fuel price increases are directly affecting their livelihoods.
