West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has said justice must be served in the RG Kar rape and murder case, with the CBI conducting a fresh, court-monitored investigation based on documentary evidence. He said the state government has taken administrative action and that further action will follow against those linked to the alleged health racket. Meanwhile, members of the West Bengal Junior Doctors Front held a protest rally in Kolkata on Sunday, August 9, demanding justice for the victim, known as ‘Abhaya’.
