The Madras High Court has issued notices to the Centre and journalist and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das on a PIL seeking an inquiry into his background and antecedents. The petitioner has sought verification of his nationality and background, and demanded cancellation of his passport and Aadhaar if the allegations are established. The plea also seeks action against his social media handles over alleged derogatory remarks against the judiciary. The court is awaiting responses from the parties.
