CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been sent to five days of judicial custody in connection with the Jantar Mantar case in Delhi. The two were earlier placed under preventive arrest over alleged trespassing at the protest site. The two leaders, along with Ajinkya Shinde, were booked on charges including bond violation and disruption of a public official's duty. They were produced before a magistrate at Mandir Marg on Wednesday morning. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke criticised the action, alleging that the government was suppressing dissent.
