Chetan Bhagat Slams DU, JNU Advisory: 'You Can't Tell Students Not to Protest'

Bestselling author Chetan Bhagat speaks to NDTV about the advisories issued by Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) asking students to stay away from the protests at Jantar Mantar.

Bhagat argues that universities are meant to encourage independent thinking, debate and democratic participation, not discourage students from making their own choices. Drawing on student life and campus culture, he says such advisories could end up having the opposite effect, making more students curious about joining the protests.
