A video footage of the incident have surfaced that purportedly shows a Rajasthan BJP lawmaker attacking members of a rights group founded by noted activists, Magasaysay award winner Aruna Roy and Nikhil Dey, in Jhalawar. Kanwar Lal Meena, the legislator from Alkera, has denied the activists' claims that he and a group of over 40 people attacked members of the Soochna Evam Rozgar Manch, when they were conducting an awareness drive on government accountability.
