After years of icy ties, India and China may be inching towards a reset. The two neighbours, long at odds over borders and strategy, are suddenly sending out signs of engagement. Direct passenger flights could restart as early as September — the first since the pandemic shut down services. The move is expected to be announced when Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels to Tianjin for the SCO summit, his first China visit in seven years, where he may also hold talks with President Xi Jinping.
