India's retail inflation dipped to a 25-month low in May, mainly driven by softening prices of food and fuel items. At 4.25 per cent, the retail inflation is the lowest since April 2021 when it was 4.23 per cent. The retail inflation - down from last month's 4.7 per cent - is below the Reserve Bank of India's six per cent comfort zone for the third straight month.
