VG Kannan, MD and group executive associate-banks and subsidiaries at SBI, tells NDTV that the lender has taken an enabling provision from the board to dilute stake in its general insurance arm from 76 per cent to 51 per cent. Its JV partner IAG has the option of hiking its stake to 49 per cent.
