The industrial output data remains disappointing and continues to reflect the lack of action on the government's part. Leif Lybecker Eskesen, Chief Economist for India & ASEAN ,HSBC Global Research expects the industrial activity to remain muted through the year unless corrective action is taken. Despite the weak activity, Eskesen does not expect the RBI to cut rates next week.
