Shankar Acharya, Member of the Board of Governors & Honorary Professor at ICRIER talks to NDTV Profit about whether the PMEAC's growth forecast of 5.3 per cent for FY14 is too optimistic. Dr Acharya says that the economy may only grow at 4.5 per cent or an even lower rate in FY14. He also says that the host of reforms needed to manage the fiscal distress India is in, are missing on the ground and investment decisions are unlikely to be taken in such a climate.
