In this segment of the latest episode of India Insight, we find out the real story behind the recurring problems of labour unrest at Maruti's Manesar plant. The plant has 3,000 permanent workers while 2,800 are on contract. While permanent workers get a minimum Rs 23,000 per month, those working on contract are paid only Rs 9,500, and this disparity is the root of most of Maruti's problems.
