BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Questions Bengaluru Governance Under New Government

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has questioned the governance structure of Bengaluru under the new Karnataka government, highlighting the absence of a dedicated Bengaluru in-charge minister. Surya argued that even if such a minister is appointed, the role would be ineffective unless key agencies such as the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) are brought under the minister's control. Comparing the arrangement to "handing someone a car without an engine," he called for meaningful authority to accompany responsibility.
