BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Attacks Congress Over SIR Row, Cites Bihar-Maharashtra Data

In Parliament, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey countered opposition allegations over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls by presenting detailed constituency-wise data from Bihar and Maharashtra. Dubey argued that voter deletions and additions under SIR did not benefit the BJP but, in several cases, helped Congress and the RJD win narrow victories. Citing examples of voters living abroad casting ballots and decades-long gaps in voter registration, he said SIR is essential for maintaining clean electoral rolls.
