The growth on the outskirts of Bengaluru, India's information technology capital, is much faster than any development of civic amenities. Kanakapura Road is an example of this. This road is a highway south-west of Bengaluru, heading towards Mysuru and Tamil Nadu. It connected small towns and villages, but is now a real estate hub with many massive apartment complexes and commercial establishments. It has a Metro line that has been under construction for years - and garbage and potholes. In the city corporation limits, the road goes through the constituencies of three MPs and many MLAs. We brought Bengaluru South MP, Tejasvi Surya, to the road to talk to residents.
