With Karnataka witnessing the highest May rainfall in many years, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed ministers to visit rain and flood-affected areas and issued instructions to district in-charge secretaries and deputy commissioners. The chief minister has directed district in-charge ministers and district in-charge secretaries to immediately visit flood-affected areas, oversee relief operations and take all necessary measures. To comprehensively review the situation, he has also instructed the Chief Secretary to convene a meeting of all DCs, Zilla Panchayat CEOs, and district in-charge secretaries on May 30 and 31.
