Smoke was seen billowing over the skyline of Beirut in the early hours of Friday as fighting between Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah continues to intensify. Lebanon’s health ministry said the death toll from Israeli strikes has risen to 1,116, with 3,229 injured, including 121 children and 83 women. More than one million people have been displaced across Lebanon. The escalation began after Hezbollah fired missiles into Israel on March 2, following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, with Israel now carrying out widespread airstrikes and ground operations.
