Bangladesh Unrest Grows As Minorities Protest Lynching, Demand Action Against Extremism

Unrest in Bangladesh continues to escalate as pressure mounts on the Yunus government over growing concerns of intolerance and violence against minorities. Days after the brutal murder and lynching of 25-year-old Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das, minority groups took to the streets of Dhaka demanding justice. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council organised a demonstration and formed a human chain, urging the government to act decisively against rising extremism and ensure the safety of religious minorities. Protesters warned that continued inaction could further deepen fear and instability in the country.
