The Congress' Assembly elections nightmare is not over yet. Scarcely had it sewn up a government in Uttarakhand, that it has open rebellion on its hands with veteran leader Harish Rawat reportedly threatening to quit the party unless he is made Chief Minister. The Congress has for now dug in its heels and its first choice, Vijay Bahugana, has been sworn in as Uttarakhand's new chief minister. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has told NDTV that he has not received a resignation letter from Mr Rawat, who is a Union Minister.
