"Awareness Is Key": Indian Paralympian Sumit Antil On Rise Of Para-Athletes
During an exclusive chat with NDTV, Indian Paralympian Sumit Antil shared his views on the rise of sports in the country, especially for the specially-abled athletes. Sumit won the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics three years ago in the javelin throw event. Ahead of the Paris Paralympics, Sumit insisted that the growing awareness has played a major role in the increase of para-athletes in India. During the Tokyo Paralympics, India won a total of 19 medals, including five golds.
