Tamil Nadu BJP leader K Annamalai has reportedly conveyed to the BJP leadership that he wishes to move on from the party, albeit on cordial terms. According to sources, Annamalai met BJP national president Nitin Nabin and senior leader BL Santhosh, expressing gratitude for the opportunities and trust placed in him over the past five years. While the BJP is said to be keen on retaining him and even explored options to accommodate him within the party, sources indicate that Annamalai has made up his mind and is unlikely to reverse his decision. Speculation continues that he may soon launch a people's movement outside the BJP framework.
