In a major twist to the 10/11 Delhi blast probe centred around Al-Falah University, Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested Hamood Ahmad Siddiqui, the younger brother of the university's chancellor, Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui. He was held in Hyderabad over long-pending investment fraud cases from 2000 involving nearly ₹40 lakh, where he allegedly collected money from locals promising 20% returns before fleeing with his family. Police say he also faces older cases of rioting and attempt to murder from 1988-89. Hamood, now running a private stock market investment firm in Hyderabad, had reportedly cut all ties with Mhow after escaping.
