Debt ridden farmers in Maharashtra are running out of options to attract the attention of administrators. A hopeful farmer has now gone to court, filing a case against 15 people including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar. The farmer, Dilip Ghatole, has alleged that the policies formulated by them forced his father Shaligram Ghatole to commit suicide.
