A new political flashpoint has emerged in Tamil Nadu after reports that Google has chosen Andhra Pradesh for its upcoming AI infrastructure hub. The AIADMK accused the DMK government of failing to secure the investment despite Google CEO Sundar Pichai being a Tamilian. Senior AIADMK leader R.B. Udayakumar criticized the DMK for what he called a “missed opportunity” and a lack of proactive engagement with the tech giant. The ruling DMK has dismissed the allegations as “politically motivated,” claiming that Tamil Nadu continues to attract record levels of foreign investment and remains a top destination for technology companies.
