50% Of Rs 2,000 Notes In Circulation Have Come Back, Says RBI
The Reserve Bank of India said today that 50 per cent of the Rs 2,000 notes in circulation have come back. The value of the notes that have been returned is Rs 1.82 lakh crore. RBI governor Shaktikanta Das said 85% of the notes have come back as bank deposits. The announcement of the withdrawal had been made on May 19.
