A pilot made a sweet pre-flight announcement for his wife, a passenger on the same flight, asking passengers to applaud her. The video, shared on Instagram, went viral with over 86 million views, receiving widespread positive reactions online
Flying with someone you love is truly special. From clicking adorable pictures of your boarding passes to sharing snacks mid-air and watching the floating clouds while holding hands, every little act adds to the joy. But what if you are on a flight where your partner is the pilot? Not long ago, a similar incident unfolded when a pilot's sweet in-flight announcement for his wife, flying on the same plane, left the internet emotional.
The clip, posted on Instagram in September, captured the woman sitting by the window seat and recording the video. Soon, the pilot made a delightful pre-flight announcement dedicated to his wife. He said, “We have a very special guest on board. My wife is sitting in row nine, seat A. Please give her a round of applause to embarrass her.” The woman, visibly blushing, smiled coyly, covering her mouth shyly. The passengers followed the pilot's instructions and clapped for the woman.

After that, the pilot continued with the announcement in his signature style. “Thank you. I will probably have to deal with that after we land in Birmingham. Anyways, from wheels to wheels down, I will take about an hour and 14 minutes,” he shared. The text layout read, “When your pilot is also your husband.” Meanwhile, the caption said, “Core memory for me, as this was my first passenger flight with him.”
