Indian Railways has announced a change in the schedule of the Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, one of its most popular semi‑high‑speed services. The update applies to train number 20707, which connects Telangana and Andhra Pradesh across a busy 699‑km route. The revised timing, introduced to ease congestion at Visakhapatnam Junction, comes into effect from 20 February 2026. The train, operated by the East Coast Railway zone, runs on all days except Thursday and is widely used by business and leisure travellers moving between the two cities.

Railways has adjusted the arrival schedule at Visakhapatnam Junction to improve platform availability and streamline terminal operations.
Updated timings for Train No. 20707 (Secunderabad - Visakhapatnam):
Departs Secunderabad: 05:00 hrs
New arrival time at Visakhapatnam: 13:50 hrs
(Earlier arrival time: 13:45 hrs)
Updated timings for Train No. 20708 (Visakhapatnam - Secunderabad):
Departs Visakhapatnam: 14:30 hrs
Arrives Secunderabad: 23:25 hrs
Railways stated that the adjustment was made specifically “to decongest the terminal” at Visakhapatnam from February 20.

The Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat stops at six stations:
Warangal
Khammam
Vijayawada
Eluru
Rajahmundry
Samalkot
The service covers the 699‑km stretch in 8 hours 50 minutes, maintaining its position as one of the fastest connections on this corridor.

What Passengers Should Know
The revised schedule applies only to arrival at Visakhapatnam for Train No. 20707, effective 20 February 2026.
The return train, 20708, continues with its scheduled timings.
The service operates six days a week, excluding Thursdays.
Two seating classes are available: AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car, priced at ₹1,750 and ₹3,200 respectively for the full journey.
