The festive season is approaching, and with it comes Navratri. The celebrations will commence with Shailputri Puja on Monday, September 22, and conclude with Vijayadashami on October 2. During this auspicious period, travellers and devotees wishing to seek the blessings of Maa Vindhyavasini can look forward to smoother journeys. To manage the festive rush, the Indian Railways has announced two unreserved Navratri Puja special trains, aimed at making travel more convenient and comfortable for pilgrims.

Navratri Special Trains To Begin From September 22
According to reports, the two Navratri-special trains will operate from September 22 to October 6. The first service will run between Prayagraj and Patna, while the second will connect Mirzapur with Alamnagar in Lucknow. Each train will complete 11 trips in both directions, with an additional journey on October 6 or 7, depending on the route.
This initiative has been introduced to ease congestion and ensure that devotees travelling to important religious sites, particularly Vindhyachal, can do so without facing overcrowding or last-minute difficulties.

First Navratri Special Train: Prayagraj To Patna
The first Navratri special train will operate between Prayagraj and Patna from September 22 to October 1, with an additional journey on October 6.
As per the schedule, the train will depart Prayagraj at 11:15 am and arrive in Patna at 8:15 pm on the same day. For the return journey, it will leave Patna at 9:00 pm and reach Prayagraj at 6:20 am the following morning.
On its route, the train will halt at several important stations, including Naini, Meja Road, Manda Road, Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Chunar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara and Danapur.

Second Navratri Special Train: Mirzapur To Lucknow
The second service will connect Mirzapur with Alamnagar in Lucknow, completing 11 trips between September 22 and October 1, and again on October 6. The return service from Alamnagar will operate from September 23 to October 2, with an extra run on October 7.
From Mirzapur, the train will depart at 4:05 pm and reach Alamnagar at 11:25 pm. The return journey from Alamnagar will leave at 1:00 am and arrive at Mirzapur by 8:00 am, halting at several key stations along the way.
