The Global Digital Nomad Report 2025 evaluated 64 countries based on 15 indicators, including visa accessibility, internet speeds, and the cost of essentials like housing, groceries, and transportation. According to the report, the top 10 countries for digital nomads are:

Interestingly, India's affordability played a significant role in its ranking, making it an attractive destination for digital nomads. However, the report also highlights areas where India needs to improve.

India's Ranking And Areas For Improvement

India ranks 38th globally in the overall best countries for digital nomads list. While it excels in affordability, holding the top spot, India's rankings in other areas are less impressive. It holds the 5th position on the Citizenship and Mobility Index and 23rd position on the Procedure Index. However, India's rankings in tax optimisation (52nd), quality of life (39th), and tech and innovation (45th) are areas of concern.
