Malaysia Airlines has made history by successfully operating its first-ever flight with an all-female crew. Flight MH2610, which took off from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, featured an all-women team, including pilots, co-pilots and cabin staff. The airlines celebrated this milestone on Facebook, stating that it was not only about diversity but also about recognising women's skills, professionalism, and leadership in making the flight successful.

"With women now making up 36 per cent of Malaysia Aviation Group's workforce, surpassing the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) 25by2025 initiative, this milestone marks not just progress, but a powerful reminder that the sky has no limits," wrote Malaysian Airlines in a Facebook post.

From check-in counters, through security and maintenance, and up to the pilots and cabin crew, women were in charge at every stage of the journey. "To all our colleagues and future aviators, may today's flight inspire you to dream bigger and break barriers," the airline added.

The Boeing 737-800 was flown by Captain Noorsazrina Binti Zulkifli, a seasoned pilot with over 8,200 hours of experience on both domestic and international routes, and Second Officer Siti Noor Syamira Binti Baharuddin, a young pilot who had just received her certification, according to Malaysia Airlines.

They were assisted in the cabin by in-flight Supervisor Kulisia Anak Jipem, who oversaw a group of five female employees delivering Malaysia Airlines' renowned Malaysian Hospitality.

Several passengers found it inspiring to see women in leadership positions across the board, confidently managing an industry long viewed as male-dominated. The airline added that it hopes this flight will encourage colleagues and aspiring aviators to dream bigger, break barriers and reimagine what's possible in the skies.
