Modified Train Cars Use Energy From Braking to Clean Air of CO2, Help Fight Climate Change

CO2Rail, a US-based firm, has joined hands with researchers from The University of Sheffield to develop equipment for trains that can help tackle climate change by cleaning the air around a rail car. The system can be used on existing trains and works by harnessing vast amounts of energy generated when a train brakes or slows down.
