The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has moved a Delhi court against cable operators for not providing details of subscribers of set-top boxes to multi-system operators (MSO) which is necessary to ensure accountability in digitisation of cable TV services.

As the digitisation deadline ending at midnight on Wednesday, many cable homes in Kolkata continued receiving signals without installing the government mandated set-top boxes (STB), apparently because of an understanding between the West Bengal government and multi-system operators (MSOs).
