Minister of State (Independent Charge), for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik, will inaugurate the National Convention on World Homeopathy Day on 10 April 2017 at New Delhi tomorrow.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shripad Yesso Naik today informed Lok Sabha that more than 600 colleges imparting medical education at Under-graduate and/or Post-graduate levels in AYUSH in the country.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH said that National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) 2005 recommended Yoga as an Integral Part of Health and Physical Education as part of National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

The Minister of State (Independent charge) for AYUSH, Shri ShripadYesso Naik informed the Lok Sabha that there are 607 AYUSH Medical colleges in the country. Out of the 607 colleges, 341 are for Ayurveda, 52 are for Unani, 10 for Siddha, and 204 for Homeopathy.
