Samsung Wallet users will now be able to store their PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, driving licences, vehicle registration details, as well as the CoWIN vaccination certificates on the Samsung Wallet app. Users of the company's all-in-one app will be able to benefit from a combination of Samsung’s Pay and Pass functions, according to the company.

Driving licence and registration certificate, available in digital form on the DigiLocker platform, or the mParivahan mobile app, are valid documents under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, a notice issued by the transport department of the Delhi government said.

Doing away with the need to carry driving licence and vehicle registration certificate in the physical form, the government on Thursday issued an advisory to states to accept all such documents in electronic form if presented through its DigiLocker or mParivahan platforms.

Now, no need to carry around physical copies of the Vehicle Registration Certificate or the Driving Licence -- it can all be stored digitally - courtesy the DigiLocker, a secured cloud-based platform.

DigiLocker has partnered with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to create a digital driving license you can keep on your phone.
