Prime Minister Narendra Modi In Varanasi, Offers Prayers At Kashi Vishwanath Temple On "Dev Deepawali"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various projects and took part in the Dev Deepawali celebrations in Varanasi on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lit the customary first diya at the Raj Ghat in Varanasi and launched the Dev Deepawali Mahotsav.
PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on the occasion of Dev Deepawali.
"On the occasion of Dev Deepawali, we welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the land of Baba Vishwanath. The entire state extends its heartiest greeting. The ancient glory of the spiritual city of Kashi is being restored under your guidance. Welcome Prime Minister!," Yogi Adityanath tweeted.
Prime Minister Modi said Varanasi is getting better infrastructure on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Dev Deepawali and this will benefit both Varanasi and Prayagraj.
PM Modi dedicated the six-lane widening project of Handia (Prayagraj)-Rajatalab (Varanasi) section of National Highway 19 to the nation.
The widening of this highway has made it easier to travel between Kashi and Prayagraj, PM Modi said.
The stairs of the ''Ghats'' in Varanasi are decorated using flowers and red carpet, while artists were seen making beautiful rangolis and painting pots. As per the officials, arrangements have been made to light 11 lakh diyas on the banks of river Ganga.
"The Prime Minister is coming on Dev Deepawali here. All arrangements have been made regarding the visit," Varanasi District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said.
"Along with beautification of Kashi in past years, we can now witness the benefit of work done on connectivity here," PM Modi said
