Barely four weeks after calling off its protest against the NEET leak at Delhi's Jantar Mantar after its main demand of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation was met, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a "peaceful march" in the national capital on September 5, claiming the Centre didn't "implement what it solemnly promised".
The satirical group, which began on Instagram earlier this year and is now involved in political activism, said in a statement that its march will begin at India Gate and end at the Delhi Police Headquarters, setting up a potential confrontation with the government.
Apart from Pradhan's resignation, the CJP had also demanded compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide following the paper leak. It also wanted the government's assurance that no legal action would be initiated against protesters.
The CJP had called off the agitation, saying the government agreed to fulfil their demands.

The satirical group has said the parents of NEET aspirants who died would lead the march.
"CJP announces youth mobilisation on September 5th, with a peaceful march from India Gate to Delhi Police Headquarters, led by families of deceased NEET victims and victims of police brutality, over the Government's failure to honour its July 25 commitments," it said in the statement.
"The National Working Committee of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convened today to review the Government of India and BJP/NDA ruled states' compliance with the solemn commitments made to the young people of this country on 25 July 2026, based on which the nationwide youth protests were withdrawn in good faith. Members of the Committee expressed serious doubts over whether the Government intends to honour its word at all," it added.
The CJP accused the government of playing delay games, hiding behind technicalities and avoiding giving clear commitments, instead of implementing what was solemnly promised.

It claimed that the Supreme Court asked the government to provide a list of FIRs registered across the country against protesters for quashing, but it was not provided.
"Yet, the Government refused to give a clear commitment to do so. The written assurance from the Government to the CJP is also due," it added.
The group has appealed to students, youth organisations, and young citizens to gather in large numbers at India Gate.
Pradhan's resignation last month came after weeks of protests by CJP volunteers and students. The protest gained momentum after the Delhi police lathi-charged the protesters during their march to Parliament, leaving scores of them injured. Several police personnel were also injured in clashes.
