Ranbir Kapoor fans are on cloud nine today. Reason? The much-awaited teaser of his upcoming film Ramayana has finally been unveiled. While cinephiles are already praising the actor for stepping into the role of Lord Rama, a behind-the-scenes video now going viral offers a glimpse into the effort that went into creating his look.
The clip showcases the detailed process behind Ranbir's makeup and hair transformation for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. In the video, the actor can be seen seated on a chair as a team of artists works around him to perfect his on-screen appearance.
From Ranbir Kapoor's eyes to nose, lips and overall facial features, every detail is carefully crafted. He is also seen being fitted with a wig to achieve the character's signature long hair.

Coming back to Ramayana's teaser, the two-and-a-half-minute clip offers viewers their first look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. From coronation to exile, the teaser captures key glimpses of his journey. Throughout it all, Ranbir embodies the mythical character with a sense of grace, composure, quiet strength and an almost divine aura.
The makers dropped the teaser on YouTube with the caption, “Rama is the greatest of all time because he lived a life where the choices he made were always in the benefit of the greater good, duty over desire, and sacrifice over self. His legacy continues to enhance and empower humanity over time and bring the belief in the goodness of the human spirit to resolve all conflict and bring peace to the world.”
Produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana has been made on a staggering budget of Rs 4,000 crore. The film features Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lord Lakshman.
Ramayana features music by Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, while the action sequences are designed by Guy Norris of Mad Max: Fury Road fame. Adding to the scale, performance capture specialist Terry Notary, known for his work on the Avengers films, is also part of the team.
Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus will be released in two parts, with releases scheduled for Diwali 2026 and 2027, respectively.
