The Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency consists of Lambi, Bhucho Mandi, Bathinda Urban, Bathinda Rural, Talwandi Sabo, Maur, Mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada assembly segments. Under this constituency the Bhucho Mandi, Bathinda Rural and Budhlada assembly seats fall under the scheduled caste category. 

The constituency went to polls on May 19 in the seventh phase of 2019 general elections. The poll results will be released on May 23.

SAD's Harsimrat Kaur Badal is the sitting MP from this constituency. In 2014 she defeated Manpreet Singh Badal, the Congress nominated candidate in this seat by a margin of 19395. She is a two-time Member of Parliament and the Union Cabinet minister of Food Processing Industries.  

This time the lok sabha elections will have Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, who was the Congress nominated candidate from this constituency along with SAD's Harsimrat Kaur Badal and AAP's Baljinder Kaur. They are among the 27 candidates who are in fray for the seat, of which are 14 independent candidates.

The General Elections of 2014 saw a total voter turnout of 1,525,289.
