About East Delhi

In 2014 general elections, Maheish Girri from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. He won 572202 votes. His opponent was Rajmohan Gandhi from Aam Aadmi Party. He received 381739 votes. 

In 2009 general elections, Sandeep Dikshit from Indian National Congress had won the East Delhi lok sabha constituency. He won 518001 votes. His opponent was Chetan Chauhan from Bharatiya Janata Party. He received 276948 votes. 

In 1971 general elections, H.K.L Bhagat from the Indian National Congress had won the seat. In 1977 general elections, Kishore Lal from Janata Party had won the seat. 

In 1980, 1984 and 1989 general elections, H.K.L Bhagat from Indian National Congress had had a stronghold on the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. In 1991 and 1996 general elections, Baikunth Lal Sharma from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the seat. 

In 1977 by-poll elections, 1998 and 1999 general elections, Lal Bihari Tiwari from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the East delhi lok sabha constituency. In 2004 general elections, Sandeep Dikshit had won the seat. 

In 2019 general elections, Arvinder Singh Lovely from Indian National Congress, Atishi from Aam Aadmi Party, Gautam Gambhir from Bharatiya Janata Party, Sanjay Kumar from Bahujan Samaj Party, Ajay Chaudhary from Apki Apni Party, Anupam Tripathi from Bharatiya Kisan Party, Amanullah Ahmed from Bharatiya Insan Party, Dr. Kishan Singh Chauhan from Peoples Party of India (Democratic), Deepti Nadella from Pyramid Party of India, D. Durga Prasad from Challengers Party, Neeru Mongia from PRISM, Mukesh Jadly from Uttarakhand Pragatisheel Party, Mohan Lal Sharma from Satya Bahumat Party, Manjeet Singh from Rashtra Nirman Party, Manju Chibber from Republican Party of India (A), Satish Kumar Prajapati Mazdoor Kirayedar Vikas Party, Surendra Gupta from National Apni Party, Hafiz Burhanuddin from The National Road Map Party of India and Hitesh Kumar from Jai Prakash Janata Party. East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency has 10 assembly segments. These include Jangpura, Okhla, Trilokpuri, Kondli, Patparganj, Laxmi Nagar, Vishwas Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Shahdara.
