Arunachal (West) is one of the two Lok Sabha constituencies of northeastern state Arunachal Pradesh. It comprises 33 assembly segments -- Lumla, Tawang, Mukto, Dirang, Kalaktang, Thrizino-Buragaon, Bomdila, Bameng, Chayangtajo, Seppa East, Seppa West, Pakke-Kasang, Itanagar, Doimukh, Sagalee, Yachuli, Ziro-Hapoli, Palin, Nyapin, Tali, Koloriang, Nacho, Taliha, Daporijo, Raga, Damporijo, Liromoba, Likabali, Basar, Along West, Along East, Rumgong and Mechuka.

More than 4 lakh voters in this constituency voted on April 11, in the first phase of Lok Sabha election 2019.

In the 17th Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate and the sitting MP Kiren Rijiju will contest from this seat. BJP had a stellar performance in the 2014 election by garnering more than 50 per cent of the total votes.

Congress, which is the second major party, has given a ticket to former chief minister Nabam Tuki.

From among the regional parties, Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Jarjum Ete, All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) candidate Jomin Nyokir Kara and National People's Party candidate Khyoda Apik will also contest the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

Rumak Jomoh, an Independent candidate, is among the 7 contesting candidates.
