It is indeed a privilege to write to you for the first time as the Chief Executive Officer of NDTV. I stepped into this role with deep respect for the network's legacy of credible journalism and the trust it has earned with audiences over decades. Our focus is to build on that foundation while equipping the organisation for the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead.
The past year marked an important phase of consolidation and expansion for NDTV. We strengthened our broadcast network, broadened our content portfolio and deepened engagement across both television and digital platforms.
A key milestone during the year was the successful completion of our ₹ 396.5 crore Rights Issue, which strengthened our balance sheet and provided the capital required to accelerate strategic priorities. The Company recorded revenues of ₹ 528.29 crore which is 13.60% higher as compared to the previous year, reflecting steady operational progress as we continue to scale our platform.
Our central focus this year was on enhancing the operational strength of our broadcast and digital ecosystem. We upgraded newsroom workflows, modernised production environments and strengthened distribution across television and digital platforms. These investments have enabled faster publishing cycles, improved collaboration across teams and greater agility during high-impact news moments.
Our office in Noida offers modern infrastructure, advanced technology and collaborative workspaces that support a future-ready newsroom.
The year brought renewed energy across our programming slate.
NDTV 24x7 introduced a refreshed lineup of prime-time and editorial properties that strengthened its position as a destination for sharp debates, deeper analysis and contextual storytelling. Programmes such as The Buck Stops Here, India Matters, NDTV Newsroom and Breaking Ground brought fresh perspectives to national conversations while reinforcing the authority of the NDTV newsroom.
NDTV India continued to deepen its connection with audiences through impactful Hindi journalism. Its prime time programming remained among the industry's most competitive, while its election coverage and on-ground reporting helped broaden engagement across the country.
We also launched a new events vertical under the brand 'NDTV Good Times', a platform for live cultural experiences that extends the NDTV brand into concerts and large-scale public events, enabling new ways for audiences to engage with the network beyond traditional broadcasting.
Across our network, the year delivered encouraging performance momentum.
NDTV 24x7 recorded its highest-ever BARC viewership and emerged as the No. 1 English news channel among affluent viewers. NDTV India achieved its highest-ever market share, reflecting stronger audience engagement in an increasingly competitive landscape.
NDTV Profit delivered particularly strong growth, emerging as one of the fastest growing business news channels with a market share exceeding 50% among key urban audiences and a significant rise in viewership.
Our regional channels also strengthened their presence across important markets. NDTV Rajasthan delivered a strong performance with a market share of 23.9%, while NDTV Madhya Pradesh–Chhattisgarh ranked among the leading regional networks with a 15% market share. Along with NDTV Marathi, these channels continue to expand their reach through compelling on-ground reporting, regional programming and growing digital engagement.

NDTV has expanded its presence across connected television, OTT and IPTV ecosystems, ensuring that audiences can discover and engage with our journalism across multiple screens.
This year reaffirmed the strength of the NDTV newsroom during events of national importance. Our coverage of the Bihar Assembly elections and other significant developments demonstrated the speed, credibility and editorial discipline that defines NDTV.
Beyond television, NDTV 24x7 strengthened its digital leadership by emerging as the most viewed English news channel among all English broadcasters in India on YouTube for ten consecutive months beginning June 2025. Across the network, NDTV's digital platforms now include:
We continued to strengthen distribution across emerging platforms, including connected television, OTT and IPTV ecosystems, ensuring that audiences can access NDTV's journalism anytime and anywhere.
Internationally, NDTV 24x7 maintained strong distribution across key markets - including the United Kingdom, the United States and the Middle East – underscoring our position as a global platform for credible Indian journalism.
The momentum we have built this year gives us confidence in the path forward. With a strong performance, growing digital scale and a talented team across the organisation, we are well-positioned to navigate the next phase of media transformation.
Beyond news broadcasting, NDTV continued its role as a chronicler of ideas and national dialogue. Our summits, conclaves and public forums brought together policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs and creators across sectors. These platforms strengthened NDTV's position as a space where meaningful conversations shaping India's future can unfold. The NDTV World Summit, convened in October 2025 as a premier forum for thought leadership, brought together an extraordinary constellation of global figures, including Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Harini Amarasuriya, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, alongside a host of other distinguished luminaries - a rare and historic occasion where two serving prime ministers and two former prime ministers shared their perspectives on the global stage, engaging in a dialogue that spanned geopolitics, economic resilience, and the evolving architecture of international cooperation.
We continue to focus on reducing our environmental footprint through efficient technologies and responsible operational practices. As a news organisation, we recognise the responsibility that comes with our platform, and our programming continues to highlight important environmental and social issues.
Our people remain central to our mission. We strengthened employee well-being, introduced the #NDTVCares in-house crèche to support working parents and expanded learning programmes including AI Copilot training and leadership development initiatives such as the Young Managers Programme.
These initiatives are reinforced by strong governance practices, a diverse Board and robust risk management frameworks that uphold transparency and accountability across the organisation.
We will continue strengthening our newsroom, expanding our digital and distribution footprint and building formats that deepen audience engagement across platforms.
The momentum we have built this year gives us confidence in the journey ahead. With strong performance, growing digital scale and a talented team across the organisation, NDTV is well positioned to navigate the next phase of media transformation.
I extend my sincere gratitude to our viewers for their enduring trust, to our partners and advertisers for their collaboration and to our shareholders for their support and confidence in our vision.
My deepest appreciation goes to the teams across NDTV – whose energy, creativity and professionalism power everything we do.
Warm regards,
Rahul Kanwal
