- Ultraviolette launches entry-level X-47 electric motorcycle variant at Rs 2.49 lakh

Ultraviolette has expanded the X-47 lineup in India with the launch of a new entry-level variant of the electric crossover motorcycle. Called simply the Ultraviolette X-47, the new base variant has been priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable model in the X-47 range so far.
Ultraviolette X-47: What Has Changed?
The biggest change in the new Ultraviolette X-47 base variant is the removal of the company's Hypersense radar system. This technology was earlier available across all variants of the Ultraviolette X-47.

The Hypersense package included features like blind-spot detection, rear collision warning, lane change assist, and overtake alerts. By removing these features, Ultraviolette has managed to reduce the price of the Ultraviolette X-47 by Rs 15,000 compared to the earlier entry-level Original variant. Apart from this change, the rest of the motorcycle remains identical to the higher trims.

Ultraviolette X-47: Performance And Range
The Ultraviolette X-47 continues to use the same 27kW electric motor paired with a 7.1kWh battery pack. The company claims that the Ultraviolette X-47 can sprint from 0-60 kmph in just 2.8 seconds, while the claimed top speed stands at 145 kmph. The Ultraviolette X-47 also offers a claimed IDC-certified riding range of 211 km on a single charge. These figures make the Ultraviolette X-47 one of the more performance-focused electric motorcycles currently available in the Indian market.

Ultraviolette X-47: Features
Even though the new Ultraviolette X-47 misses out on the radar tech, it still comes loaded with several premium features. The motorcycle continues to offer dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold assist, and park assist as standard. The Ultraviolette X-47 also gets three riding modes- Glide, Combat, and Ballistic. Connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support are also retained in the new base variant.
Ultraviolette X-47: Variants And Price
With the addition of the new trim, the Ultraviolette X-47 lineup now includes six variants. Prices start at Rs 2.49 lakh and go up to Rs 3.09 lakh ( all prices ex-showroom) for the top-spec Desert Wing version.
