India has emerged as one of the most important car manufacturing countries of the world, with brands like Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, and Hyundai selling Indian made cars in the international market. India's passenger vehicle export figures in FY2026 shows a clear trend towards SUVs and compact cars, with huge numbers emerging from the International market. Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the most exported India-made car in FY26 with 90,186 units, surpassing the 69,133 units exported in FY25, witnessing a 30.5% YoY growth. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx gets a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine, also available with a CNG option. The Fronx also gets a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that promises 100 hp and 147.6 Nm.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is the second most exported Indian made car, with a dispatch of 72,209 units in FY2026. This is a 50.5% YoY growth, compared to the 47,982 units of FY25. Though the Jimny is being loved by the foreigners, its strong off-road pedigree, compact proportions, and rugged appeal has failed to impress the Indian market, and the sales numbers have been modest in the country.

Hyundai Verna
Though the global market has witnessed a shift from sedans and small cars to SUVs, the Hyundai Verna has maintained its pace, dispatching 63,044 units in FY26 in the foreign market. The India made Hyundai Verna has posted a 19.8% YoY growth compared to the 52,615 units exported in FY2025.
Nissan Magnite
The India made Nissan Magnite is the fourth most exported India made car in FY26 with 56,704 units, surpassing the 29,155 units exported in FY25. Along with Nissan Magnite, the Sunny is another product by the brand that is manufactured in India for the international market.

Maruti Suzuki Swift
The Maruti Suzuki Swift continues to impress Indian and foreigners as well, known for its compact size, peppy engine, and super smooth handling. The India-made hatchback has posted 53,661 unit exports in FY26, witnessing a 49.3% YoY growth compared to 35,952 units exported in FY25.
