Nissan India is ready to set its new strategy for the Indian market in motion. As part of the plan, the automaker will introduce a new SUV on February 4, called the Tekton. The mid-size SUV is a rival and sibling of the recently unveiled Renault Duster and is expected to be launched in June 2026. In the Indian market, it will face competition from models like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Tata Sierra.
According to teaser images shared by the manufacturer, the Nissan Tekton will feature connected LED headlights and taillights, showcasing a C-shaped design that pays homage to Nissan's flagship SUV, the Patrol. Side views from the teasers reveal pull-type door handles at the front and C-pillar-mounted handles at the back. Additionally, the Tekton will sport multi-spoke alloy wheels and silver-finished roof rails.

Nissan, the Japanese automaker, aims to broaden its product lineup with the introduction of the Tekton and Gravite this year. Other models from the brand will be launched shortly after, spaced just a few months apart. Following the Gravite, the Tekton, a seven-seater SUV, is expected to debut in 2027.
It is important to note that, until now, Nissan has only had a presence in one segment with the Magnite. With the new model launches, the company plans to expand its presence across four segments.
