Kawasaki has brought an update to the new Z900RS. While it does carry the Z1 appeal, the modern tech and features add modernity to the retro-styled motorcycles. With the update, the new Kawasaki Z900 RS gets a host of changes in the electronic package, powertrain, and other specs.

The new Kawasaki Z900RS continues with the 948cc inline-four, liquid-cooled engine. However, it now produces around 114 hp and 98 Nm of peak power and max torque. The power unit is joined with a 6-speed gearbox for transmission.

With the update, the Z900RS gets ride-by-wire, adding to the thrilling experience, unlocking cruise control for effortless highway cruising and enabling precise fuelling via electronic throttle valves. The addition of a bidirectional quickshifter means snappier upshifts and smoother downshifts, keeping the bike composed even in hefty traffic cut-through situations.

The new Kawasaki Z900RS standard kit now packs serious tech muscle, which includes an IMU-powered electronics suite bringing Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), cruise control, and a bi-directional Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) into play. A 41mm USD fork and rear monoshock handle suspension duties, while braking is managed by 300mm twin front discs and a 250mm rear disc. Step up to the SE variant and you get Brembo front calipers, steel-braided brake lines, and a premium Ohlins S46 rear shock for sharper control and elevated ride feel.
