Mercedes-AMG has launched the GLE Coupe Performance Edition in India at Rs 1.52 crore (ex-showroom). The Performance Edition is positioned below the standard AMG GLE Coupe, targeting customers who want a more dynamic, chassis-focused experience.
Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition: Powertrain, Performance
Mechanically, the GLE Coupe Performance Edition continues with the existing 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine from the AMG GLE 53, rated at 435 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and full-time all-wheel drive, with Mercedes-AMG quoting a 0-100 kmph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed limited to 250 kmph. The drivetrain is complemented by an adaptive suspension system and AMG-tuned exhaust mapping, tuned to deliver a more engaging acoustic and ride character.

Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition: Unique Elements
The Performance Edition is distinguished by the standard fitment of the AMG Dynamic Plus Package, which enhances on-road agility. The package adds AMG-specific active roll stabilisation, sharper body control, and a more aggressive braking setup with red-painted callipers front and rear, along with an AMG-badged Performance steering wheel for a sportier cockpit feel. The car also sits on a pair of exclusive 22-inch black-finished alloy wheels that further underline its performance-oriented stance.

The sporty feel of the car is complemented by the presence of a large grille with an AMG badge and chrome-finished vertical bars with LED projector headlights with DRLs on either side. The rear of the end comes with LED taillights, a boot-lid-mounted spoiler, and dual tailpipes integrated into the bumpers.

Inside, it boasts two 12.3-inch displays (one dedicated to the infotainment system and the other for the instrument panel), a head-up display (HUD), a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and climate control for four separate zones. Additionally, it comes with power-adjustable front seats that feature ventilation, heating, and memory capabilities, along with a 13-speaker Burmester audio system.
