Maruti Suzuki India Limited had recently announced the starting price of the e Vitara with BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service). Now, the Indian automaker has revealed the full price list of its first electric car, including the upfront cost of the battery. Based on the announcement, the prices are all introductory and are valid until 31 March. To make the deal better, the electric SUV comes with a complimentary home charger and installation.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is available under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, starting at Rs 10.99 lakh ex-showroom for the Delta variant featuring a 49 kWh battery. Users opting for the BaaS will find the battery rental set at Rs 3.99 per kilometer. For those interested in the higher-end Zeta and Alpha variants, which come with a bigger 61 kWh battery, the prices are Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 14.29 lakh, respectively, with a battery rental fee of Rs 4.39 per kilometer.

Customers who prefer to purchase the e Vitara without the Battery-as-a-Service program have several options available to them. The Delta variant, which comes with the 49 kWh battery pack, is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh. For those looking for more power, the Zeta variant, equipped with the larger 61 kWh battery, is offered at Rs 17.49 lakh, while the top-tier Alpha variant, also featuring the 61 kWh battery pack, is available for Rs 19.79 lakh. Consumers who choose to have a dual-tone variant will have to pay a premium of Rs 21,000.

The introductory prices announced by the brand give the electric SUV a competitive edge over its rivals, which are more expensive. Specifically, the prime rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric come at a starting price of Rs 18.02 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Windsor EV is sold at a starting price of Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra BE6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Tata Curvv EV at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara comes with two options for battery packs: 49kWh and 61kWh, both featuring a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration. The ARAI-certified range for the larger battery pack reaches 543km. The e-Vitara will be offered in three different trims. The entry-level Delta trim will include the 49kWh battery pack, while the Zeta and Alpha trims will be equipped with the larger battery.
